Bloomin Birthday!

Good morning everyone! I made this for my wonderful niece, who just turned 15, yesterday. There are 3 young ladies in our family (including my daughter) who are cousins, that are all the same age for about 2 months. They are really close, too! Well, this one niece starts the age difference/change and she is very special to us all. And my daughter is really close to her. So knowing her birthday was coming up, my daughter came to me with her inspiration of what colors she wanted to make, and what she wanted on her card. She wanted me to make my butterflies and some handmade flowers. So we ran with her idea and edited where needed, and this is the result! My daughter had a blast smashing up the flowers and inking up the leaves and getting "green thumbs" from it! LOL I think when my daughter and I work together, we make a great team. We had fun, and my niece loved her card!

I used:
Kates ABCs for the flower pot
Gypsy Wanderings for the flowers cut at several different sizes
DCWV the glitter card stock stack
DCWV The Pocket full of Posies Matstack for the Back Ground paper and the  purple and green flowers
Green card stock for the hand cut leaves
Ribbon from the $1 bin (LOVE IT)
Stickles
Rhinestones
Sentiment is computer generated
Stampin Up! Stamps (I have no idea what the name is) but it was for the butterflies, which were stamped and then I cut it out from the image and then stamped the backside, too.

Thank you for taking a look and I hope you have GREAT day, today!

Classy Wedding, Stair Stepper

You my be thinking that I have been busy "pumping out" cards like crazy, here lately...well, I will confess, this card has been in the works on my table for a few months. I actually had the stair stepper part done a while ago and ended up changing my mind and making another card for their bridal shower. So it is now their wedding card! I still think it needs something but I just can't figure out what it is. I still have time, because the wedding isn't until the end of October. I may add the sentiment "Congratulations" accross the bottom or something like that.  But now I will have to make a visit to Michael's or Hobby Lobby maybe to "stimulate" me. I know, I know, what a bummer that is that I will have to go to the craft stores!  :-)

I used:
Gypsy Font cartridge,for the letters
Gypsy Wanderings cartridge, for the flowers (crumpled and 3 layers)
DCWV The All Dressed Up Stack
DCWV the glitter card stock stack (in the flowers and lettering)
Recollections Rhinestone Stickers from Michael's
Heart Ribbon from my stash ( I think I am using up all my ribbon and will have to buy more, bummer!)

Thank you so much for stopping in and checking out my labor of love for my friends and family!  I hope and pray that you have a very wonderful day!

Romantic Wedding

I started to make this for one person as a thinking of you, then I changed my mind and added the bride and groom, now I don't know who to give this to.  I have two different weddings in the next month...one would be for my cousin, who I watched grow up into a great young man, and the other wedding is for my aunt who is getting re-married(her husband passed away about 5 years ago). Well when I make my decision I will let you know who it went to.

I used:
Potpourri Basket Cartridge for the bride & Groom cut at about 3.29"
Gypsy Wanderings for the flowers cut at 1.59" which were crumpled up to give that distressed/layered look
Velum paper for the top layer of the flowers, crumpled
Silver and Mustard Glimmer Mist
Stickles:  Crystal
Recollections Music Stamp from Michael's
Ribbon from my collection
Brads from my stash
Silver embossing ink and powder

Well thanks again for stopping by and seeing what I have been doing, in the past few days, or so!

That STINKS!

Well, unfortunately this is for some friends of mine, who's 19 month old little boy, who has been very healty until Saturday morning, when his parents were awakened to him having a 10 min. seziure. What a terrifying thing as a parent. He is still wiped out and has been running fevers and the Dr.s don't know what is going on. So I know he is a little to young to enjoy getting the card, but his parents will enjoy it. So please keep him and his Mommy & Daddy in your prayers. I just hope this silly little card will be more of a blessing to them but fun for him to look at.

I used:
Animal Kingdom Cartridge for skunk cut at about 3"
Gypsy Wanderings for the larger flowers cut at about 2"
Stampin Up! Burst into Bloom, Polka Dot Punch
Cuttlebug Folder: Polka Dot
Martha Stewart Punch: Hydrangea
Stickles: Yellow, Orange Peel
The sentiment and paw prints are computer generated

Well, I hope you have terrific kind of day, today, and thanks for stopping by!

Happ-BEE Birthday/Tent Fold

This tent fold card is for my wonderful MIL! She is a special lady to me.  I could not have asked for a better MIL!   I have never done this type of "tent fold" card before.  I'd say, not bad at all for a first time!  I love how the details of the bee and the hive turned out.  I also watched and saw a video of how to make one of these, and saw that they had not placed anything in the center on the "stand part" of it.  I thought that was a perfect place to "suspend" something in that space.  So if you can tell from the one side picture, that the bee hive is pushed up through the mountain fold of it.  I am very pleased how this turned out.

I used:

Christmas Cards Cartridge: For the card

Forever Young Cartidge: For the flower frame shapes
Paper Doll Dress Up Cartridge: For the grass

Plantin SchoolBook Cartridge: For the circle cuts
Sentimentals: For the bee and hive
K&Company Life's Journey Paper
K&Company Hannah Scrap Pap Paper
DCWV: The All Dressed Up Stack (Glittered Paper)
Light Tan Cardstock
Reflections Rinestones from Michael's
Ribbon from my stash
Paper flowers from Oriental Trading company

Thank You so very much for stopping by and I hope you have a very terrific day!

Snowflake Christmas

Well, Thanksgiving is coming up soon and my family on my mom's side gets together like a family reunion.  Unless, of course, if there are weddings or funerals or baby showers and such we only see each other at Thanksgiving!  So during this time of the year we all (the women that are "crafty) start making a handmade "gift" to give to each family.  Last year I made some very time consuming glass ball ornaments with teeny tiny trees all the way around and made them look like snow globes.  Well this year I think I may make ornaments again but hopefully less "work" and time.  I hope!  I do have my idea, I just need to go out and purchase the materieals for it.  I will tell you this, that it does have to do with snow flakes and glass and stamping!  Oh I know, I can almost hear you going, "Oooo, and Ahhh!"  I can show what will go with them, that I have already started making...can you guess!  Did you say "CARDS!"  You guessed right!  Well, I am putting snowflakes on the cards to reflect what I am making as my craft.  I made 6 cards today!  I need to make about 25-30 ornaments and about the same for the cards.  And that is just for this part of my family...I better get crackin, if I am going to get this all done before then.  Plus, my family knows and loves that I make the "sweets/desserts" for Thanksgiving.  So I don't have alot of time to spare between now and then.  Anyways, here is what I am making for cards.

I used:
Plantin Schoolbook Cartridge (scalloped edge)
Stampin Up!  Snowflakes stamps
The sentiment stamp, I have no idea where I got it
Ribbon from my stash last year (Michael's)
The paper is from my collection of Card stock
DCWV The Homemade Christmas Stack paper for the scalloped edge
The buttons are from my stash of collecting them through the years
Stickles: Silver, Xmas Red, Green

Thanks for taking a look and have blessed day!
