Bird Birthday Card

This card was made for my pastor's wife, who just happens to share the same birthday as mine. She is very special to me and has been such a huge encouragement to me. She somehow holds a full time job and is also our music director and pianist all in the same package plus she cares for our loving pastor and manages to make it to alot of her grandkids ball games and squeezes in time for a 2-3 hour practice with our worship team. And yet she is such a Godly woman and is a wonderful teacher and friend.  I know she will like this one.  I really do appreciate her and all that she does!

I used:
A Child's Year Cartridge for the shaped card and the bird
Potpourri Basket Cartridge for the branch
DCWV The Linen Closet Stack
Core'dinations Super Assortments Sandable Card stock
Polka Dots Cuttlebug Folder
Spellbinders Nestabilities Lacy Squares
Brilliance Moonlight White Ink (to highlight the dots on the embossing)
Both ribbon from my stash
Butterfly brad from my stash
The sentiment is computer generated

Well, stay warm and thanks for taking a peek at what I have been doing on these wintery days!

Eagle Birthday Side- step

Hey everyone, I hope you are all doing well.  We are having such a mild winter here in Ohio.  I love the snow and its beauty and how it brightens up the world around us and how it sparkles like diamonds in the moonlight!  Such beauty for our eyes to feast on and marvel at God's beauty.  Today though, we are getting a little bit of snow.  The forecast is about 4.5 inches.  We will see how close it is...maybe we will get more!
Anyways, I made this card for a special gentleman at our church.  He is such a blessing to all of us at our church and encourages us in so many ways.  Well, I was actually struggling with my mojo.  I have made other cards for him in the past which are posted on here.  But you can only make so many butterfly cards before you, yourself get "board" with them.  Then we were visiting him in his home the one day and he told us a wonderful experience he had with an eagle and how he loves eagles too.  You see, he LOVES God's nature and its beauty.  So I guess, I could never go wrong if I made cards with something to do with nature, right?  Anywho, that is where my inspiration and my mojo came to life, sorta!  I have made and posted a similar card on here before that I made for my nephew but his was a center-step card and this one as you can see is a side-step card.  It was pretty simple to make. I computer generated the background behind the eagle using the part of the bible verse from Isaiah 40:31, With wings as eagles...  I am very pleased how it turned out!  Well I hope you like it too!

I used:
Potpourri Basket Cartridge for the stars
Blue and Red Card stock
White Velum Paper (eagle is stamped on)
DCWV The Glitter Card Stock Stack

Polka Dots Cuttlebug Folder
Tattered Angles Glimmer Mist Mustard
Silver Grommets
Computer Generated sentiments (background behind the eagle and the HB)
Eagle stamp is from Stampadilities from Hobby Lobby
Tim Holtz Distress Ink brushed Corduroy
Brilliance Moonlight White Ink (to highlight the dots on the embossing)

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and I hope you have a very good day today!
