Many Nativity Card Options

Hello,  I hope you all are ready for Christmas.  I know I am not ready at all.  As you can tell, I am a little a lot behind on getting things ready.  Starting with getting the Christmas cards done and out to people.  I have not even sent any in the mail yet!  Yikes!  Some may not get theirs until after Christmas.  Anyways, I have been playing around in my paper corner a lot lately and knew I wanted to make a bunch of Christmas cards using the couple of nativity cuts I have for my Cricut. There are so many things you can do with these cuts.  I could have made them smaller and would of had a few more options of how to use them, too.  I love both of these cuts.  Such a perfect picture of what Christmas is all about and why I celebrate it.

I used:
Teresa Collins: December 25th Cricut Cartridge
DCWV The Glitzy Glitter Stack for the Nativity Cut
Red/Blue Christmas cardstock from my stash
Stamped Sentiment from Michael's
Martha Stewart Scalloped Corner Punch
Stickles

I used:
Inspired Heart Cricut Lite Cartridge
DCWV The Glitzy Glitter Stack for the Nativity Cut
Various Christmas Cardstock for the Backgrounds
Stamped Sentiments from Michael's
Red and Green Velum Paper for the "Poinsettia " flowers
Martha Stewart Hydrangea Punch for the Poinsettia flowers, (rounded edges trimmed off)
Ribbon from my Stash

More Simple and Quick Christmas Cards

Okay, another very quick post, and as I said, I have been busy making Christmas cards for the past few days.  My dining room looks like Hobby Lobby, Michael's and other craft stores barfed all over the place!  Oh my!  I am sure none of you have this problem!  LOL So these cards were made using some scraps or just made really quick.  I loved putting out quick cards and there was not much to do to them.  Sometimes the paper design is all you need.  Simple yet elegant!  Love it!  Okay, well that is it for now!

I used:
Spellbinders Heirloom Dies
JustRite Stamps
Stampin' Up! Stamps
Corner Rounder Punch
Tag Punch
Ribbon From my stash

Thanks for making a quick stop
and I hope you have a day filled with many blessings!

Wintery Warm Wishes Christmas Cards

Hello, again!  Here are a few cards that involve snowflakes.  Weather they are stamped or cut out on my Cricut, they are there and shimmery just like they are in real life!  I love the snow, especially when it sparkles like diamonds!  So breath taking and peaceful as it falls from the sky!  What is even more amazing is that there are no two alike.  We have an amazing creator and designer, in snowflakes and even people!  Here in Ohio, it is bitter cold for us.  The highest it got today was around 18*!  Baby that is cold!  LOL  lots of layers at this time of year.  Anyways, here is just a few more of my card creations!   Again, Enjoy!

I used:
Stampin Up! Warm Winter Wishes Snowflake stamps
Christmas Cricut Cartridge for the Snowflake cuts
Kate's ABCs Cricut Cartridge for the BG cut
White/Silver Shimmery Cardstock
Blue Cardstock
Silver gems
Silver Stickles

2013 Christmas Bulletin Boards and Decorations

Hello!  I hope you all are about ready for Christmas!  I am so far behind this Christmas season.  I have had my tree up for at least a week but it only has a few ornaments on it from Thanksgiving.  I do have my outside lights up and some other decorations.  Plus, I did take a few days and go to our church and put up the decorations and tree up and also do the 3 bulletin boards, for Christmas/winter.  That all took a very long time, just because there is a lot more detail and decorating to do at the Christmas season.  I sure did enjoy doing it all, but boy was I tired when it was all finished.  Either way, I thought I would share with you all what I have been doing.  So take a look!

This is just one of the bulletin boards I did!

Here is the Sanctuary all decorated up!

A close up of the Communion table!
I love Christmas time, and to me it should all sparkle!

Thanks so much for stopping by and seeing the many "hats"
I wear and I love doing it all!

2013 Thanksgiving/Christmas Craft Reveal

Hello there!  I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!  Ours was very busy as usual, traveling from one family gathering to another...lots of food, too!  But overall we had a great time seeing family and just spending with time with them.  Well here is, as promised, the "big" reveal of my annual "Thanksgiving craft" that I shared with my family this year.  A duel holiday decoration!  I am very pleased with how they turned out!  The pictures just do not do them justice.  Plus, this is just a sample of the 4 different designed paper backgrounds that were available to choose from.  A lot of work and hours put into making 30 of theses.  Do you know what happens when you procrastinate and wait till the last minute...lots of hours put into making it at the last minute!  I was truly blessed because I was able to get my kids involved in making these and they did a really great job.  They helped a lot with the painting part and even asked if they could help with the final steps, but unfortunately I just could not give up those last detailed parts.  Can you say, "Control Freak"!  Yes, that is me sometimes!  Oh well, they all were completed the day before Thanksgiving and then I moved onto my baking and then onto making some Christmas cards.  Unfortunately, I did not have time to take pictures of all of the cards.  Now I have been spending time resting and recouping only to get behind on other things.  I haven't even got any Christmas decorations up yet, and that is really rare, for me.  I will do it this week for sure!

Triple Time, Pop Up, Birthday

Hello again, I am still very busy getting my Thanksgiving craft done and trying to maintain doing other things such as taking care of my home and family and doing school...but I still have to finish my craft plus get a bunch of Christmas cards done too.  Whew, that makes me a bit stressed out thinking about all of this.  Just one thing at a time...priorities. Anyways, my "middle" sister just had her birthday this week, so as you could guess, I made her a card!  LOL  She is a great lady, she has been through a lot in the past few years and is still going through things but has come through this all shining for the Lord.  I hope that through this journey that she has been going through, that she will continue to grow closer to God, and continue to shine for Him.  I am so proud of her!

Okay, onto the card,  I did this simple triple time stamping card, then got a little bit "fancy" inside and did the pop up of presents.  The inside is fairly easy to do.  Not a lot of time invested into that part at all, and yet it looks like I did!

I used:
White and Dark Blue Cardstock for the front
Me & My Big Ideas Specialty Cardstock for the inside BG paper
Just Rite Original Grandma's Doilies Stamp Set
Ribbons From My Stash
HB Stamped Sentiment from Hobby Lobby
Ranger Liquid Pearls:  White Opal

Well, thanks for stopping by!
I hope you have a fantastic day!

2013 Can You Guess What I Am Making This Year???

Hello everyone!  I hope you are all doing well.  It has finally gotten cold here and we have even had a little bit of snow already!  Woohoo!  I LOVE snow and the beauty it brings to the somewhat darker/drab time of year.  Especially with the days/daylight being a lot shorter, a little bit of extra light is wonderful.  My favorite thing is seeing the snow sparkle in the sunlight/moonlight and the snow laying on the trees.  It is soooo beautiful!  Well, with the snow and the cooler temps., it puts me more into the "Holiday" mood, for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years.  I love this time of year, because it is the time when I get to really craft and play with paper and listen to Christmas music without getting yelled at by my family!

So, as I told you all, in my last post, I would be sharing a sneak peak,(Picture), of my annual "Thanksgiving Day craft", that I will be sharing with my family, (Aunts and Cousins...).  I have to make a grand total of about 30.  Scary thing is, I think I waited till the last minute with this one.  I am blessed to have the help of my kids this year though.  So that is another clue for you all, as to what I am doing...that even kids, (which mine are not so little anymore) can help with it.

So any guesses as to what I am making?
Does anyone what to give it a try?  :-)
Well, good luck and I hope you have a great day!

Mustache Birthday

Hello everyone!  I know I have been posting a lot here lately, but starting in September, we have a lot of Anniversaries and lots of birthdays.  Plus, you throw in Christmas cards too.  Oh and I have begun my "Thanksgiving craft"!  Pictures/clues and the trivia of that will be coming soon!  Anyways, my wonderful hubby just had his birthday.  So naturally I had to make him a card, right?  Masculine cards seem so hard to come up with...plus doing a card while trying to juggle homeschooling three kids and trying to get a card done before the hubby comes home, so that he doesn't see it, is kinda hard.  So something quick and simple is important.  Plus, he is a guy that doesn't want all the fancy stuff, no glitter and such...but did you see I was able to sneak a little of something shiny into it?  LOL The paper has a bit of "shine" and then also the I-rock gems!  Simple with a little sparkle...Perfect!  Well he enjoyed it and his birthday too!

I used:
Sentimental's Cricut Cartridge for the background cut
Mustache's and Glasses Cricut Cartridge for all the mustache cuts
Me & My Big Ideas Mambi Scrapbook Kit for the blue background mustache paper
Red Textured Cardstock
I-rock Gems
Twine string from my stash
HB Stamped Sentiment from Hobby Lobby

Thanks for stopping in again!
 I hope you have a fan-tasche-tic day!

Saw it Before?

I know, I know, what you all are thinking, "I have seen this card before!"  And you are kind of correct.  I did make a card almost just like this, but it was all white, with just a few less pearls and different ribbon and flowers.  That is the few differences!  This is a birthday card for my very special neighbor!  She is always ready and willing to take care of our outside kitty when we go out of town and such.  She is such a blessing to us!  I have some of the most wonderful neighbors!  Anyways, I just loved the white card and how dimensional it is and it is just plain pretty.  But with all of the many layers and dimensions, it is not really "mail-able" unless you put it in a special envelope and put extra postage on it.  So since she is my neighbor, I get to hand it straight to her!  Anyways, I hope she likes it!

I used:
Core'dinations Cardmaker Series Pearls cardstock
Spellbinders Shapeabilities Parisian Motifs Dies for the background cuts
Cricut Craft Room Basics and Craft Room for all the heart cuts
Adhesive Pearls

Satin Ribbon Flowers from my stash
Satin Ribbon from my stash
Dimensional Tape and Dots

Happy Birthday Mr.

Hello again!  I hope you all are enjoying your fall!  I know I am!  They are forecasting a chance of SNOW for us by the end of next week!  Yahoo!  Wouldn't that be pretty, with a blanket of snow then  pretty fall leaves laying on top?  Oh how gorgeous!  But I do have to admit, I am not relishing in the idea of putting on the bulky winter coats and such...but I do love sweaters!
Anyways, this week is my BIL birthday!  Masculine cards are sometimes so hard to come up with!  He and my SIL, are the ones with my niece who has been the hospital and has been diagnosed with a serious case of Crohn's disease. They have a very long road ahead of them, and some major decisions to make.  They all still need a lot of prayers.  Anyways, I hope he likes this card...the funny part is, that my BIL, does not have glasses, a mustache nor does he wear bow ties!  But I just love the look of this "guy" card!  I just hope that it brings a little bit of a smile to his face!

I used:
Sentimental's Cricut Cartridge for the Postage Back Ground cut
Mustache's and Glasses Cricut Cartridge for the mustache and glasses

the center of the bow tie

Minions of Get Well Prayers...

This was made for my wonderful 16 year old niece who started having a lot of stomach pains lately and they finally got to a point that she could no longer handle them.  Anyways, she is now in the hospital and they have said it is most likely Chronis Disease.  She is going to be in the hospital for a while, so I thought that I would make her a card to cheer her up, and I know it helps to know that people are thinking of you and mostly praying for you.   She loves just about anything to do with Disney, and the Minions too!  So when I suggested it to my 16 year old daughter, who is really close to her, she said, "Yes, you have to, she will love it!"  So that is my great excuse to make one of the adorable creatures!  I hope she likes it and that it does encourage her!

Baby Bathtub Shower

Hello again!  I hope you all are doing well!  I have truly enjoying the trees starting to change colors here.  That is why it is one of my favorite times of the year.  It is soooo beautiful outside!  The air is cooler and more "crisp".  Such a lovely time of year...perfect for a...wedding!  Maybe that is why I married my sweetheart at this time of year!  0.0
Okay, now about the card!  Well, I made this for a special young lady in my life, who is having her second baby.  She has been through some incredibly rough things in her life and yet she keeps on smiling.  We love her, and are so happy for her.  At the time of her shower she did not know what gender of a baby she was having, until she opened the box filled with balloons with the color of blue!  Can you guess what she is having?  It is a BOY!  Woohoo!  I pray that her pregnancy and delivery will be uneventful with the exception of a healthy new baby!  Anyways, here is the card I made that was gender neutral, since none of knew what she was having.  It has a "Action Wobble" attached to the bathtub, to make it dance.  Plus, inside was a "Pop-up" card, with floating bubbles and little duckies.  I kind of stuck with the duck theme, even in her gifts, she had a little ducky outfit and sheets with ducks and such.  So cute!  I also, did up a fun little useful picture frame, for the mommy to enjoy.  I have done this idea before, but for a graduation, and instead of candy, I did money.  So she now has something for "her" to enjoy, the candy and the picture frame!  I know she loved it all and appreciated it too!

I used:
Everyday Paper Dolls Cricut Cartridge

A Child's Year Cricut Cartridge

Acetate Sheet from Staples/Office Max

Sentiment was computer generated

48th Wedding Anniversary

Hello again!  My parents just celebrated their 48th Wedding Anniversary this week.  This time around, I have not been able to see them or celebrate it with them, even though they live just a short 30 minutes away.  Why?  Well, it is their anniversary and they went away on little trip and then stopped at my sister's in PA.  So I am glad that she got to see and celebrate it with them this time around.  I am so blessed to be able to spoil them when these events like anniversaries/birthdays come around...I think my sisters kind of get a bit jealous because I do get to spoil them on such occasions and don't have to share them with anyone else.  So it is nice to share them once in a while.  LOL   They are such awesome parents, and I love them so much!  I am so blessed!  What a great example they have been to me, in their marriage, in raising children...the list could go on, but you get the picture.  Anyways, when they do get home from their little trip, is when they will get this beautiful card I made for them plus a few gifts.  I think this card turned out beautiful, elegant yet simple.  I think they will like it!

I Used:
Professional Series Royal Metallics Cardstock

Happy 17th Birthday

Wait, what??? My niece just turned 17...where does time go?  They just grow up way to fast.  She is very special to us, she is not only my niece but also one of my daughters best friends!  When she comes to our home, she brings so much joy and sunshine with her.  The sad but exciting part is that her boyfriend, of three years, has just recently left for the Air Force.  He just finished Basic Training and is now in "school" for training of the things he will be doing.  While we are so proud of him and miss him like crazy, he is now talking about marriage with my niece...which could happen in about two years.  Ahhhh, not yet!  I am getting so old, YOUNG...they are just getting old not me!  LOL
We are so proud of her, and we love her so much.  I hope and pray that she continues to keep growing closer to God and keeps her eyes on Him for the rest of her life.  I know she liked her card a lot!  It is one of those that you have to just touch, when you look at it!  I love this embossing folder.

2013 Fall Bulletin Boards

Hello again! As you can tell I have been very busy! Being productive is a good thing. Anyways, as I said, I would share my church bulletin boards as soon I got them done. Well I got them done today and I have time to share them with you all. I am so pleased at how they tuned out too. I think I said it before, but I really fall and the colors that come with it! I did reuse some things from other bulletin boards from the past. Hey, it saves on time and money, plus if they are still in good shape you might as well reuse them. Right? Does anyone else do this?

Again, thank you so much for stopping by!
I hope you have a wonderful day!

I am on a roll!

Hello!  Apparently, I AM on a roll...with the colors of black, red and white and wedding anniversary's!  LOL  I just love how they contrast against each other!  I made this quick little card for my niece and her hubby, for their 5th wedding anniversary.  We are so glad that they are doing so well.  We hope and pray that God will bless their marriage for many more years to come.  They have moved closer to us all so now we get to see them a lot more and spend time with them more and that is wonderful!  So naturally, I had to make them a card too.

I used:
Cricut Craft Room Basics Cartridge for the heart cut
Paper Doll Dress Up Cartridge for the Arrow cut
Black Cardstock
DCWV Glittered Stack
Making Memories Wedding paper pad
Red Satin Ribbon
IRock gems
Black and white bakers twine

I hope they like it as much as I did!

Love Birds in the Park

Hello again!  I have not posted much in while, but that does not mean that the creating stops...it just means that I am very busy creating.  Did you catch that?  LOL  Anyways, my SIL and BIL, just celebrated their 22nd wedding Anniversary.  They were so willing to give up their anniversary weekend and travel about 3 hrs. up here from their home to help my FIL cut wood for the winter.  What a blessing and a great example to us all.  What love they share and have.  Anyways, I found the inspiration for this card again on the wonderful site of Pinterest!  LOL  What a great resource!  I did not have access to a  "Bench" cut, so I just designed my own in the Cricut Craft Room, another great resource!  LOL  I think it turned out really cute!  Very simple but I love the black and white contrast against each other!  Well, I hope they liked it!

I used:
Cricut Craft Room Basics for the general shapes of the "boards" of the bench and the heart
Gypsy Font Cartridge for the word "LOVE"
Country Life Cartridge for the birds
Martha Stewart hearts punch for the tiny heart above the birds
Polka Dots embossing folder
Black and white bakers twine

Church Project Poster

Hello everyone!  I hope you all are having a great day today!  I know I am enjoying this cooler "fall-like" weather here in Ohio!  So much so that I have gone ahead and put out my "fall" decorations in my home and at my church!  I love the fall season, and the colors that come with it, plus the cooler temperatures.  I am one of those rare people who love the fall and the winter seasons more than the summer.  Well, here is just some of the things that I have done at my church.  I am still working on the bulletin boards at this time but they are almost done!  So I will share those with you all soon.
In the mean time here is our Communion table décor that I did up and the a "Project Poster" I did up for the people, which I will explain in a minute.

I just love the fall colors!

Okay, now to explain about this "Project Poster"
My church needed new siding very badly.  It is this dark brown wood siding with wood windows, and  beautiful stone on the front and sides of it.  But the wood siding/windows are wood, and with time and years of the elements of weather changes, it has finally come to a point that no matter how much paint or whatever you do, it needs replaced.  So we wanted to get it done before winter.  Well, our church is just a very small country church with an average attendance of 30-40 people.  We needed no less than 10 boxes of siding and at least 5 windows that must be replaced at this time and each box of siding/windows cost about $150.  So we wanted the people to see the progression of the siding/windows being paid for by making this "Project Poster" by putting the strips of siding on slowly over top of the original dark brown wood siding, and the windows being replaced by putting window panes overtop the window openings.  So my wonderful hubby and I worked together in designing this up and had it up for about 2 weeks and then suddenly, someone felt led by the Lord to pay for the whole project, plus extra.  WOW!  We were so stunned!  We are rejoicing at what God has done for our little church in such a short time.  I am so looking forward to the building being done up with the new siding and windows!  God is so awesome!
Either way, I used my Cricut to cut the windows and doors for this project.  I think it didn't turn out to bad at all, and I guess it was more affective than I ever thought it would be!  LOL
God is so good!

Anyways, I know this was not my regular post of cards but I just had to share what I have been doing as of lately!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a fantastic day!

With Gentle Thoughts

Hello again! Have you ever made a card for someone and then changed your mind?  Well that is the case with this card.  I have a sweet elderly man at my church whose precious wife of 50 years, passed away quite a few years ago, and he just seems so lost without her, especially as of lately.  So I thought that he needed a little cheering up and that he is not forgotten at all, but loved by all of us.  I have made it a point to always say something to him, and engage him in a little bit of conversation, and maybe tease him a little too, which he does it to me mostly.  He is always ready to give me a hug and a kiss.  Such a sweet gentle man.  I can only imagine what it would be like to be without my spouse.  Then to move on in life without him would be soooo terribly hard.  So having a little bit of compassion and love for him, hopefully with help him to keep moving on.
Anyways, thanks for looking and I hope you have a wonderful day!

I used:
Winter Woodland Cricut Cartridge for the layers
Love's in the Air embossing folder
