Deer Father in Law Birthday Card!
Opps, I almost forgot to post this. My Father in Law has been out hunting alot lately and has yet to get "the BIG one"! So I thought that I would give him an image of what a big one looks like! LOL He really loved that "Curly" antlers! Either way, it seems like if you go hunting for deer here in Ohio, there has to be snow on the ground and freeeeezing cold temperatures. Well, thanks for looking!
A Snowy, Happy Birthday Card From Ohio!
I made a birthday card for my nephew who lives in Sunny California...I did not know what to make for a card for him...so this is what I came up with...my inspiration was all the snow we got this week and the kids playing outside in it. Fun! Plus, when I sent him a message, I asked him if he missed the snow, and his reply was that he kinda did. If only we could have the snow with a lot warmer tempuratures! LOL Either way, enjoy looking my few followers and have a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year!

A Few of His Favorite Things!
My Dad's birthday was this week so here is his card with just a few of his favorite things...His Tractor, his dogs and snow. The cool thing was that on his birthday we got snow. I think it was a b-day gift for him from God. LOL Either way, this one was a lot of little piece work but fun. I think when my dad opened it he choked back a few tears before he could look up at us. He is so special to me, and of course so is my mom!

My Mom's birthday card
Tomorrow is my Mom's birthday and so this is the card I made for her. She has always liked birds especially cardinals. And they always looks so beautiful in the winter in the trees covered in snow...so that was kinda my inspiration. The camera just does not do it justice, but a little of glitter snow paint and some embossing make it sparkle and shine. I am sure she will love it. Next week is my Dad's birthday and so I have to come up with another card for a guy. So between now and then I am going to be "brainstorming" for and idea for him.

I changed my mind!
Well, I was not planning on doing handmade Christmas cards this year. We have been soooo very busy and I just did not want to take the time. BUT, I had a few people who were a little disappointed, so I guess I gave in and took the time. Thank goodness for my kids helping me. By the day was over we did about 18 cards. The fun part is that no two are the same. I loved watching my kids come up with different ideas and they ran with it. I helped with either getting them stamped or assembling their ideas. Sometimes with a little tweeking. But over all they were their ideas. I only did about 3 cards the rest were theirs. So since we homeschool our kids, today was "art class", which is a great way to break up the routine/rut of school. A welcome change. I think they all turned out wonderful.

40 and Fabulous!
I made this card for my sister who just turned the big 40! I had to do something fun yet pretty, because she is so pretty inside and outside. She is such a blessing to my and one of my best friends. The pictures do not do it justice with the mirror and the dress both being made from glitter paper. SO Pretty! Well I hope you like what you see and enjoy looking around.

I didn't know who!
I made this card a few weeks ago and had no idea who it was going to be for...then my sister ended up having to have her appenix removed and so that is who it went to. I hope it cheered her up a little.

Just Married, 17 years ago!
Well, my husband and I have been married for 17 years! So for our anniversary I made him a card! Fun but whimsical! I think it turned out GREAT! I will have to make another one similar to this for someone else...I kinda made it symbolic...When we drove away from our reception 17 years ago, we rode away in a brand new red Pontiac Grand Am. So I don't know if my DH noticed that or not...LOL Oh well, it was fun. To celebrate our anniversary this year, we went on a train ride and enjoyed the colors of fall. Then we went out to dinner and stuffed ourselves with some very good food. MMMMMM, Steak! My favorite! Anyways here is the pictures of the card I made for him! Enjoy!

My First Tear Bear!
I made my first "tear bear" for my niece. Better late than never! I just need to get the heavier mullberry paper for the next time. This paper was a little to thin. You can see through it too much. All in all, I think it turned out pretty cute! I just hope she likes it even though she is 14 now. Of course, what girl doesn't like teddy bears? I know I sure do and even when I was little I loved them. I tried to sleep with all of them at the same time. My mom must of thought I was nuts! Yet I am sure she got a good laugh when she saw that there was not much room for me in my bed. Now I have the same thing with my youngest daughter! :-) Oh well, enjoy looking!

My 2010 Thanksgiving/Christmas Craft
You may ask, what is a "Thanksgiving/Christmas craft"? Well, every year on Thanksgiving day my Mom's family gets together and celebrates Thanksgiving over a nice large meal. Then when all the dishes are done and put away us "girls" get together and exchange a craft that we made. I usually have to make appoximately 30. From one year to the next we could have as few as 20 and the next year about 30. It is alot of fun to give and to recieve and to see what they come up with every year. No it does not have to be a Christmas ornament or anything Christmas, just a craft. I have done jewlery in the past and wreaths. I enjoy making a variety and so none of them are the same. Since this is my first "real" year with my Cricut Expression, I wanted to come up with something using it. Well this is what I have come up with to share this year. I hope you like!
A simple Anniversary Card!
I made this simple yet really pretty anniversary card for my Sister in Law and Brother In Law. I think it turned out pretty good!

My First Double Slider Card!
Well, this is an anniversary card for my parents and it was my first time doing a double slider card. I have never done one and I think it turned out great! I love it! These are some of the coolest cards to make. I love learning new things that challange me. I learned from the "Everyday Cricut" blog. http://www.cricutholiday.com/ I really appreciate that they posted a video to learn how to make one! So this is my version of theirs.
It Really Bugs Me!
This is a get well card I made for my sister, who was really sick and ended up in the Hospital for awhile. I praise the Lord that she is feeling a little better now. But I sent this card to her to give her something to smile and laugh about. It may not be one of my best cards, but I still think it turned out pretty good. I know it made me smile everytime I looked at it. The fun part is that I get a small idea and as I begin working on it, it slowly developes into something really unique! I love it when that happens.

Happy 70th Birthday!
I made this card for my husbands Uncle's 70th birthday. After he opened it, he came to me and said, " That is the most beautiful handmade card I have ever seen". How sweet, is that! That is alot of the reason of why I make cards, just because it makes alot of people know that there was alot of time and thought behind each one. And alot of times, when I make these cards, I pray for the person or persons that it is for. Well, I hope you enjoy what you see!

When Two Things Look Alike!
These cards were for two different purposes, one is for my neighbor who's sister just passed away and the other is of course, is a thank you card, for someone special to our family. The lay out is the same but the paper is different, as you can see!

Birthday Card!
I made this card for my niece who just turned 13! The funny part is that in our family, three of the girls, my daughter, and 2 nieces all are 13 for about 1 month. So when they graduate, it will all be the same year! A little scary, because when all is said and done, we will be broke!

Sweet Anniversary Card!
I made this anniversary card for my oldest sister who lives in Mississippi. I miss her alot, but sending her a card to celebrate her anniversary helps just a little. When I make a card for someone, I think of their likes and favorites, then from that I make the card. And while I am making the card they are in my thoughts and I sometimes say prayers for them as I am thinking of them. The funny thing is when I was making this card for her, she called me! I think she knew I was thinking of her! So what do you say when she asks, "So Beth, what are you doing?" Uhhh! Not much? LOL Too funny! Well enjoy!

Thank You Cards
Here are just some of the cards that I have been working on. They are "thank you" cards that I am making for our guest singers and such, that will be at our church on our 35th Anniversary Sunday. I think they all have turned out really great so far. Just a few more to do and then moving on to something else. I love making cards, it is so fun and so rewarding.
My Favorite Summer Flower
This is my Stargazer Lilies that bloom every summer for me! I love them and look forward to them each year. They grow from a bulb and bloom about 2-3 weeks after the 4th of July. They have a very strong fragrance. I picked one once and brought it in the house, boy was that a mistake. I sneezed and sneezed and sneezed until I took it back outside. The one year I had over 90 blooms between the 3 stalks. God makes such amazing things for us to see His glory, everywhere. Thank You Lord!

A 4 wheeling fun Birthday Card!
Birthday Card
This was a birthday card for my husbands grandma who has vision problems due to diabetes. She can see shadows and some colors. So I made her a card that she could feel and identify it with just touch. Yes, it is similar to the one I made that was a pivot card, for my neice. The major difference is of course the paper and that I mounted the flower on a card so that she could open it the normal way without confusion.
