Vintage Patriotic

Hello again!  I know, it is a miracle that I have posted twice in less than 24 hours!  LOL  Well, things are about to get super busy for me, so I have to take the time now while I have it.  Well, this card was made for a young man in my church who we had a "going away" dinner and time of prayer for him, as he left the next day to begin his journey in the US Air Force.  We are so proud of him and are praying for him as he has just began his Basic Training/Boot Camp this week.  He is such a great gentle spirited young man, that we have all come to love and care about.  We are praying that he has great success while he is serving our country and are so very thankful for his willingness to serve and protect.
I hope that this card was not to feminine for him and I hope he liked it!  LOL

I used:

Anniversary Pop-Up Box Card

The weather here, has been so crazy and up and down in temperatures.  Spring has sprung but winter is not over yet.  A few days ago we had a humid 80* out and then the next day we had snow and below freezing temperatures.  Brrrr!  Oh well, winter has to have the last word around here before it goes out completely!  I know the warmer weather will come and stay but we just have to be patient.  Till then I will continue to keep enjoying my corner of paper and my card making supplies!  LOL
Okay, now onto the card!  I made this for my sister and BIL, who just celebrated their wedding Anniversary.  They are so very special to us in so many ways.  They have been a help to us in so many ways through the years.  We are so blessed that we are related to them.  I wanted to make something fun yet kinda showing that an anniversary means lots of love!  Plus, I really love the pop- up box cards.  These cards are something that lays flat yet is dimensional and displayable and you can get as fancy or as simple as you want, with very little effort.  So this is what I came up with for this very special couple!
