With Gentle Thoughts

Hello again! Have you ever made a card for someone and then changed your mind?  Well that is the case with this card.  I have a sweet elderly man at my church whose precious wife of 50 years, passed away quite a few years ago, and he just seems so lost without her, especially as of lately.  So I thought that he needed a little cheering up and that he is not forgotten at all, but loved by all of us.  I have made it a point to always say something to him, and engage him in a little bit of conversation, and maybe tease him a little too, which he does it to me mostly.  He is always ready to give me a hug and a kiss.  Such a sweet gentle man.  I can only imagine what it would be like to be without my spouse.  Then to move on in life without him would be soooo terribly hard.  So having a little bit of compassion and love for him, hopefully with help him to keep moving on.
Anyways, thanks for looking and I hope you have a wonderful day!

I used:
Winter Woodland Cricut Cartridge for the layers
Love's in the Air embossing folder
Stampin Up! Garden Collage Stamp
IRock Gems
Turquoise, Lime Green, Yellow, and Orange Peel Stickles
Water Color Pencils
Ribbon from my stash
Staz On Black Ink

Well thanks for stepping into my little world, take a look around leave me some love!
I hope you have a wonderful day!

Sentimental Birthday

Well my wonderful MIL had her birthday this past week.  I have always wanted to make a card using a "furniture" scene.  So this is what I came up with!  Lots of layers and different papers.  I think she liked it! I love the little telephone...I may have to use it again by itself for someone else!  It is so cute!

I used:
Sentimentals Cricut Cartridge for all the cuts
The Paper Studio Mirabelle Paper Pack for the background papers
Burgundy/brown cardstock
Royal Metallics cardstock for the golds and the whites
Gold Ribbon from Hobby Lobby
IRock gems
Happy Birthday stamp sentiment from Hobby Lobby
Brown/White Bakers Twine
Thank you so much for stopping in and have a great day!
