Well, I HAD my crafty corner all cleaned up and ready for a lot of company on the 4th of July, when....I had to make this card in a hurry! You see, we were not going to be able to make it to my DH Cousin's wedding picnic due to his hours at work being extended for shut down this week. 10 hour days, 7 days a week is rough on a mans body. Plus to top it all off, we host the annual 4th of July family cookout. Then later we host a lot of friends and family, who come and sit in our front yard and watch the fireworks be put off right across the street from our home. Needless to say, he is one very tired man.
Anyways, his hours got changed suddenly, so that he got to come home 2 hours early yesterday, and he gives me a call, and says, "Hey, we can go to my cousins wedding reception, how quick can you make a card?" Well, it took me about 45 min. to reuse a "template" of another card that I just had recently made and just changed it up a bit.
I knew I could not use the Stickles the way I normally do, and I also knew that I wanted to make my own flowers for it too. So I just used my Stickles ever so lightly, just by rubbing it on the flowers just to give them a little sparkle and that it would not take it long to dry as I made the rest of the card. This is what I came up with in my "mad" dash of a hurry! LOL
I used:
A Child's Year Cartridge
DCWV, The Luxury Stack
DCWV the glitter cardstock stack
White Velum Paper
Lime Green Stickles
Pearl stickers
Ribbon from my stash
Martha Stewart corner punch (the name escapes me, sorry)
Tim Holtz Distress stamp pad, Corduroy
