Exploding Boxes for Cousins

HAPPY NEW YEAR!  I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!  I know I sure did!  Mine was filled with so many little blessings and surprises.  You may have heard this a million of times, but Christmas for me, truly is more fun to give than to receive.  I believe that my children are starting to realize that too.  Especially my oldest, who this Christmas, wanted to give something to the 3 cousins that she is closest to.  They are all about the same age as her and have been there for her through out her ever changing life.  They have been her best friends and confidants.   What a joy and a blessing, as a parent, to stand back and watch the many memories that they have made together and will continue to make.  They all love the Lord, and encourage each other to do what is pleasing to Him.  Anyways, my oldest came to me a few months back and asked if I could help her make some Exploding boxes, for her to give to her cousins for Christmas.  Well, in all the craziness, we did manage to squeeze in a few days to get them done.  They turned out beautiful and I think each cousin loved them.  They were all different, and unique for each girl.  Plus, there were some special things that she put in them that were specific to them, weather it was memories, or silly little sayings that they have shared through the years. Each one beautiful, unique and special just like the cousin that received it!   This post is picture heavy!  But enjoy!

Many Nativity Card Options

Hello,  I hope you all are ready for Christmas.  I know I am not ready at all.  As you can tell, I am a little a lot behind on getting things ready.  Starting with getting the Christmas cards done and out to people.  I have not even sent any in the mail yet!  Yikes!  Some may not get theirs until after Christmas.  Anyways, I have been playing around in my paper corner a lot lately and knew I wanted to make a bunch of Christmas cards using the couple of nativity cuts I have for my Cricut. There are so many things you can do with these cuts.  I could have made them smaller and would of had a few more options of how to use them, too.  I love both of these cuts.  Such a perfect picture of what Christmas is all about and why I celebrate it.

I used:
Teresa Collins: December 25th Cricut Cartridge
DCWV The Glitzy Glitter Stack for the Nativity Cut
Red/Blue Christmas cardstock from my stash
Stamped Sentiment from Michael's
Martha Stewart Scalloped Corner Punch
Stickles

I used:
Inspired Heart Cricut Lite Cartridge
DCWV The Glitzy Glitter Stack for the Nativity Cut

Stamped Sentiments from Michael's

More Simple and Quick Christmas Cards

Okay, another very quick post, and as I said, I have been busy making Christmas cards for the past few days.  My dining room looks like Hobby Lobby, Michael's and other craft stores barfed all over the place!  Oh my!  I am sure none of you have this problem!  LOL So these cards were made using some scraps or just made really quick.  I loved putting out quick cards and there was not much to do to them.  Sometimes the paper design is all you need.  Simple yet elegant!  Love it!  Okay, well that is it for now!

I used:
Spellbinders Heirloom Dies
JustRite Stamps
Stampin' Up! Stamps
Corner Rounder Punch
Tag Punch
Ribbon From my stash

Thanks for making a quick stop
and I hope you have a day filled with many blessings!

Wintery Warm Wishes Christmas Cards

Hello, again!  Here are a few cards that involve snowflakes.  Weather they are stamped or cut out on my Cricut, they are there and shimmery just like they are in real life!  I love the snow, especially when it sparkles like diamonds!  So breath taking and peaceful as it falls from the sky!  What is even more amazing is that there are no two alike.  We have an amazing creator and designer, in snowflakes and even people!  Here in Ohio, it is bitter cold for us.  The highest it got today was around 18*!  Baby that is cold!  LOL  lots of layers at this time of year.  Anyways, here is just a few more of my card creations!   Again, Enjoy!

I used:
Stampin Up! Warm Winter Wishes Snowflake stamps
Christmas Cricut Cartridge for the Snowflake cuts
Kate's ABCs Cricut Cartridge for the BG cut
White/Silver Shimmery Cardstock
Blue Cardstock
Silver gems
Silver Stickles
Ribbon from my stash

2013 Christmas Bulletin Boards and Decorations

Hello!  I hope you all are about ready for Christmas!  I am so far behind this Christmas season.  I have had my tree up for at least a week but it only has a few ornaments on it from Thanksgiving.  I do have my outside lights up and some other decorations.  Plus, I did take a few days and go to our church and put up the decorations and tree up and also do the 3 bulletin boards, for Christmas/winter.  That all took a very long time, just because there is a lot more detail and decorating to do at the Christmas season.  I sure did enjoy doing it all, but boy was I tired when it was all finished.  Either way, I thought I would share with you all what I have been doing.  So take a look!

This is just one of the bulletin boards I did!

Here is the Sanctuary all decorated up!

2013 Thanksgiving/Christmas Craft Reveal

Hello there!  I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!  Ours was very busy as usual, traveling from one family gathering to another...lots of food, too!  But overall we had a great time seeing family and just spending with time with them.  Well here is, as promised, the "big" reveal of my annual "Thanksgiving craft" that I shared with my family this year.  A duel holiday decoration!  I am very pleased with how they turned out!  The pictures just do not do them justice.  Plus, this is just a sample of the 4 different designed paper backgrounds that were available to choose from.  A lot of work and hours put into making 30 of theses.  Do you know what happens when you procrastinate and wait till the last minute...lots of hours put into making it at the last minute!  I was truly blessed because I was able to get my kids involved in making these and they did a really great job.  They helped a lot with the painting part and even asked if they could help with the final steps, but unfortunately I just could not give up those last detailed parts.  Can you say, "Control Freak"!  Yes, that is me sometimes!  Oh well, they all were completed the day before Thanksgiving and then I moved onto my baking and then onto making some Christmas cards.  Unfortunately, I did not have time to take pictures of all of the cards.  Now I have been spending time resting and recouping only to get behind on other things.  I haven't even got any Christmas decorations up yet, and that is really rare, for me.  I will do it this week for sure!

Triple Time, Pop Up, Birthday

Hello again, I am still very busy getting my Thanksgiving craft done and trying to maintain doing other things such as taking care of my home and family and doing school...but I still have to finish my craft plus get a bunch of Christmas cards done too.  Whew, that makes me a bit stressed out thinking about all of this.  Just one thing at a time...priorities. Anyways, my "middle" sister just had her birthday this week, so as you could guess, I made her a card!  LOL  She is a great lady, she has been through a lot in the past few years and is still going through things but has come through this all shining for the Lord.  I hope that through this journey that she has been going through, that she will continue to grow closer to God, and continue to shine for Him.  I am so proud of her!

Okay, onto the card,  I did this simple triple time stamping card, then got a little bit "fancy" inside and did the pop up of presents.  The inside is fairly easy to do.  Not a lot of time invested into that part at all, and yet it looks like I did!

I used:
White and Dark Blue Cardstock for the front
Me & My Big Ideas Specialty Cardstock for the inside BG paper
Just Rite Original Grandma's Doilies Stamp Set
Ribbons From My Stash
HB Stamped Sentiment from Hobby Lobby
Ranger Liquid Pearls:  White Opal

Well, thanks for stopping by!
I hope you have a fantastic day!

2013 Can You Guess What I Am Making This Year???

Hello everyone!  I hope you are all doing well.  It has finally gotten cold here and we have even had a little bit of snow already!  Woohoo!  I LOVE snow and the beauty it brings to the somewhat darker/drab time of year.  Especially with the days/daylight being a lot shorter, a little bit of extra light is wonderful.  My favorite thing is seeing the snow sparkle in the sunlight/moonlight and the snow laying on the trees.  It is soooo beautiful!  Well, with the snow and the cooler temps., it puts me more into the "Holiday" mood, for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years.  I love this time of year, because it is the time when I get to really craft and play with paper and listen to Christmas music without getting yelled at by my family!

So, as I told you all, in my last post, I would be sharing a sneak peak,(Picture), of my annual "Thanksgiving Day craft", that I will be sharing with my family, (Aunts and Cousins...).  I have to make a grand total of about 30.  Scary thing is, I think I waited till the last minute with this one.  I am blessed to have the help of my kids this year though.  So that is another clue for you all, as to what I am doing...that even kids, (which mine are not so little anymore) can help with it.

So any guesses as to what I am making?
Does anyone what to give it a try?  :-)
Well, good luck and I hope you have a great day!
