Tuxedo Valentine Heart Box

Shhhh, don't tell my hubby about this post!  He never really comes onto my blog so I am taking a risk just sharing this with you all, but I just had to!  I got my inspiration from Pinterest, LOVE that site!  Anyways, I will fill it with some of his favorites goodies!  I am thinking of making something like this for my kids, but I am not sure how to do it without them seeing me do it...Hmmm!  I sure hope he enjoys it!  I don't think I did to bad at all.  I think these would be alot of fun as wedding favors and doing one as a bride/bridesmaid dress and this one for each all the place setting.  Lots of different ideas can come from this!  LOL

I used:
Plantin SchoolBook for the Heart cut-outs
One of the Cuttlebug folders from Love's in the Air pack
Red, Black and White carstock
Black lettered brads for the buttons
Red ribbon from my stash for the bow tie
Paper flower from my stash

Thank you so much for coming by
and I hope you have a great day!

My First Quilt Cards

Well hello!  This is my first time ever to make a quilt card!  I have looked at them for a long time and admired them and thought that someday I will make one of these.  Well, apparently that someday has come!  These are pretty easy to make.  My problem is that I don't want to put any kind of label or embellishment on top of them.  My mom has made many real quilts for years.  I don't have the patience to make one of those.  I know the work and hours that goes behind one...so doing a paper quilt is really nothing like the real deal!  LOL  I think it is easy and kinda fun!  They are not perfect but....Anyways here they are!

I used:
DCWV The Linen Closted Stack
The Paper Studio Mirabelle Paper Stack
Spellbinders Nestabilities Lacy Squares Die
Embossing folders
Ribbon from my stash
Stamp sentiment from Hobby Lobby
Flowers from my stash

Well, thank you for stopping by and I hope you have
a day filled with many blessings!

Simple Masculine Birthday

This was a simple card I made for our assistant pastor who is such a true blessing and encouragement to us all on how we should live for God and love God.  We ALL love him, including the kids!  He is always ready with a "story" of a blessing from God that he has received throughout his day.  He truly is a man of God/A man after God's own heart!  And we are so blessed to have him with us!

I used:
The Paper Studio Faith paper pack
Spellbinders Shapeabilities Parisian Motifs
Circle cut
Scalloped circle punch
Gold embossing powder
Brown and white bakers twine
Birthday Sentiment from Hobby Lobby

Musical Birthdays for January

Hello!  It is a cold rainy day here in NE, Ohio.  So even to take pictures of things is kinda difficult for me.  I would much rather have snow or just plain sun, not rain and mud.  Yuck!  Anyways, this card, I actually made two of.  One was made for my niece, who is in college studying music.  She has a beautiful soprano voice and she plays the piano beautifully, too.  She is a very talented young lady!  So naturally I wanted to do something for her that had to do with music.

Also, I made another one almost exactly the same for my wonderful pastor's wife who is our pianist and worship leader.  She is an amazing encouragement to me and a great Godly example to us all.  We are so blessed to have her in our church.

I used:
DCWV The Performance Stack
White, Red and black Cardstock
Black glittered ribbon from Micheal's
EKSuccess butterfly layering punch (this is such a cool punch)
Birthday Sentiment stamp from Hobby Lobby
Red I-rock gems

2012 Christmas Bulletin Boards

Okay, I know it is well past Christmas but I just am now getting around to taking the pictures and sharing them with you all.  Some are re-purposed reused parts from other boards...but that is what it is all about right?  Most cuts are done with the Cricut!

With this simple bulletin board, I used my Cricut for the tag and I also used the
Cricut Markers to write part of the verse, Romans 6:23.
This one is a mixture of lots of different cuts from my past bulletin boards, so I am not sure where they all came from.  Sorry!  I love that snowman though!
Okay, this one I do know that the manger scene came from the new December 25th Cricut Cartridge and the smaller stars are from Stand and Salute Cricut Cartridge.  Actually you can't see it but all the stars were covered in white glitter.  They were so sparkly and pretty but they just didn't show up on here...bummer!

Well I hope you enjoyed seeing these and thank you for stopping in.
Have a wonderful day filled with many blessings!

Rectangle Birthday!

Hello!  I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and a great time celebrating the beginning of a new year.  We had a long Christmas.  We started ours out on the Friday before Christmas, with having my parents here for dinner and read the Christmas story from the Bible, and exchanged our gifts to each other,(because they were going to be at my sister's house for Christmas).  So that saved us all from hauling those gifts from home to PA. to back home.  Then we had Christmas Eve at our Aunt and Uncle's home and opened gifts from them and our Grandma.  Then we got up early Christmas morning read the Christmas story, and opened our gifts to each other here out our home, Next we got ready and headed to my in-laws to eat breakfast  and read the Christmas Story and opened gifts from them and my SIL's and their families.  Then we ate lunch and went and visited with Grandma for a little bit!  After all that on Christmas day, we came home packed our suitcases and loaded up the van and went to bed.  So on Wednesday, very early we got up and headed down the road to my sister's home in PA, trying to stay ahead of the "blizzard" that Ohio got.  Thank goodness, we got there just as it began snowing really hard.  So God really watched out for us.  Well, we stayed with them for about two days, had Christmas dinner, and read the Christmas story in their barn, with the horse munching in our ears and the dog making whimpering noises and chickens making some noises,  just to reflect on some of the things that our baby Jesus may have heard when he was born.  Then we opened gifts to each other.  The next day we came home to at least 10"-12" of snow!  We spent the next few days, just laying around resting up from the hectic-ness of Christmas and enjoyed each other.  All this to say, that I got really behind on Birthday cards for people in our families whose birthdays landed right after Christmas and New Year's....

So here is the first of a few that I am behind on!  I really am going to try to stay ahead on card making and maybe have a few extra on hand just in case!  Oh well, at least they are getting a card instead of nothing!  It is the thought that counts right?  I bet you all never get behind on your card making for people, right?   Anyways, I like how it turned out, simple and masculine.  And the paper has just enough shimmer for me to not need to add any.  Anyways, here it is!

I used:
DCWV The Natural Stack
Spellbinders Rectangles
Cuttlebug Clockworks embossing folder
Birthday Sentiment from Hobby Lobby

Thank you so much for stopping in and
may you have a New Year filled with many blessings!

Hello!  I am soooo behind on everything this year including my Christmas cards!  I still have my ton of baking to do by Friday and I just have no motivation at all.  I am in a slump and just can't seem to get out of it!  Well anyways, some people will just be getting their cards very late this year!  As you can tell, I have been kinda busy with them.  Some I made a while ago and am just getting around to posting them for all to see.  I am trying to make cards that are easy to mass produce but somehow I end up making more work fun for my self.  The only problem is that I just don't have the time to get all fancy.  I have a buch of presents to wrap and a few more gifts to buy and of course then there is the baking.

Ice Cream Sandwich Gift Card Box

Well, my Dad celebrated his birthday on the 1st and I am just getting around to sharing his card/box.  This is truly an original from me.  I saw a  sandwich cookie box that caused my inspiration to start working.  The cookie box was round, and I wanted to make mine rectangular like a ice cream sandwich.  Why the ice cream sandwich?  Well, my dad is always eating something like this.  If it isn't an ice cream sandwich, it's a ice cream bar...So naturally when I saw the cookie I got the idea.  I even went so far as wrapping it up in white paper for him like an ice cream sandwhich is.  He didn't get that part of it until we made him stop and think about that and then he laughed.  He liked his box but he really liked the contents. It was the perfect size to have a gift card with its base still attached to it, and folded in half.  I just could not figure out how to embellish this for a guy without taking away from it being a ice cream sandwich.  So the more simple the better wit the just the bakers twine and then a tag.  This was one of my last cuts I made on my gypsy before it broke, sooo at this time I don't even know which Cartridge I used to make the cuts for the scolloped top and bottom.  So sorry about that.  Hopefully, I can get a new one and be up and running again, very soon!

I used:
Cricut Cartridge ?? for the retangelar scolloped top and bottom
CuttleBug embossing folder Polka Dots turned with the popped up dots inward.
Brown and White bakers twine
DCWV The Glitzy Glitter Stack for the tag
Sentiment stamp purchased from Hobby Lobby

Wintery Landscape

Hello again, I hope you all are doing great and all prepared for Christmas...Right?  Not me, I am not even close to ready.  I don't even have anything for my hubby and my kids all know what they are getting so far.  That is no fun, when they don't have a surprise under the tree.  So I need to work harder on all of this!
Well, my wonderful FIL had his birthday yesterday, so here is his card.  I am very happy at how this turned out.  Sometimes, when I make a card, I have a picture in my head and then when I go to create it, I just can't seem to get it to look like that. I am sure none of you have that problem at all!  I have that problem a lot, but fortunately, not this time!  I just hope he liked it.  This card could easily be use as a Christmas card just by changing the background papers and the sentiment.  Hmmmm, I just may do that!  LOL

I used:
Landscape stamp from Michael's
DCWV The Christmas Combo stack
Stickles
Colored Pencils
Aleene's Glitter Snow
Brown/White Bakers Twine
Yellow stamp pad for the background
Blue stamp pad for the background

Well, thank you so much for stopping in, and I hope you have fantastic kind of day!

A Ladies 70th Birthday

Hello!  My Christmas cards have been delayed due to birthdays and Christmas tree and decorating for the Christmas season.  I am trying to stick to priorities and doing what needs to be done first.  With that said, here is my Mom's 70th birthday gift/card from us (I will be putting gifts inside each of these items). My mom has a small collection of "glass" shoes and purses, so that is why I chose to do this for her. I found the shoe pattern Here, and printed it starting with just making a template just to see how hard it would be to put it together.  As you can tell, it is not to hard to do at all.  Then I cut out the purse with my Cricut Expression.  The the fun part was actually choosing the paper and then embellishing it.  It is not perfect but, I am very pleased at how well it turned out. I wanted it to look vintage and I think I achieved that.  I posted on Facebook to all of her friends that it was her 70th Birthday and that I would love it they all sent her a card.  As of now, she has over 10 different birthday cards from friends and family, and I am expecting more for her.  Also, her church had a cake for her last night so tonight I get to spoil her with dinner and her gifts and a cake.  I hope she likes these, and never gets tired of my creations for her.

I used:
K&Company Life's Journey Designer Paper
Teal blue cardstock from my stash
Tags, Bags, Boxes & More Cricut Cartridge for the purse
Cricut Craft Room Basics for the scalloped circle cut on the back of the purse
All the ribbon and lace are from my stash
The paper Roses are from Michael's
The pearl strands are from Michael's
Rhinestones are from Michael's
